USOC fires official as Larry Nassar report released

USOC chief of sport performance Alan Ashley was fired Monday after an investigation into Larry Nassar‘s sexual-abuse crimes showed that Ashley was among the U.S. Olympic Movement officials who knew about Nassar allegations more than a year before action was taken.

The Ropes & Gray report, an independent investigation commissioned by the USOC’s board of directors, was released Monday afternoon. Its title: “The Constellation of Factors Underlying Larry Nassar’s Abuse of Athletes.”
