RIO DE JANEIRO — Usain Bolt has been in a class of his own throughout his Olympic sprinting career — now he’s in a room of his own in the athletes' village.
Jamaican team manager Ludlow Watts has revealed that, though most athletes share a room with a colleague, Bolt's “superstar” status and past accomplishments afford him his own space in Rio.
“Sometimes you make allowances for superstars, but we don’t have the luxury of many people being able to get single rooms,” Watts told Jamaican radio station Power 106.
Bolt is aiming to win triple gold in the 100 meters, 200 and 4x100-meter relay for the third Games in succession.
