Having won gold in the 100 and 200 meter sprints in each of the last two Olympic Games, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt arrived in Rio with designs on a third consecutive gold medal in both of those events as well as helping his nation win a third consecutive Olympic gold medal in the 4×100 meter relay. Bolt won’t have to make his first run in Rio until August 13, when the first round of qualifying for the 100 meters is scheduled, but that begins a busy stretch for the world’s fastest man in which he’ll have three events to focus on during a six-day span.
