U.S. Olympic men’s basketball players bonded while singing along to Vanessa Carlton on a team plane, but the team’s most tenured member didn’t appear to be having any of it.
A video on guard DeMar DeRozan‘s Instagram showed some players reciting Carlton’s 2002 song, “A Thousand Miles,” including Jimmy Butler and Kyrie Irving.
Butler was 10 years old when that song came out. Irving was 10.
Anthony was one of the few players on the 12-man roster who had reached by high school by 2002, but maybe he and others were more interested in sleeping on the flight, as Draymond Green‘s video would later attest.
