United States’ Boudia, Johnson win silver in synchronized diving

Four years after settling for a bronze medal in the synchronized 10 meter platform diving competition, American David Boudia now has a silver medal to his credit.

Partnering with Steele Johnson, Boudia won silver in the event Monday afternoon in Rio. Johnson, was made his Olympic debut in these Games, replaced Nicholas McCrory as Boudia’s partner in the event. Unfortunately for the Americans their best efforts weren’t enough to keep China from winning gold in the event for a fourth consecutive Olympics, with Chen Aisen and Lin Yue winning by nearly 40 points.
