One game after tying the United States Olympic record for most three-pointers in a game with five, Diana Taurasi made the record all her own Wednesday afternoon.
Taurasi shot 6-for-10 from beyond the arc, scoring 25 points as the Americans rolled to a 110-84 win over Serbia. Serbia provided a far stiffer test for the Americans than either Senegal or Spain, but Taurasi’s onslaught from three pushed the United States to a ten-point lead at the end of the first quarter. Things got even worse for Serbia in the second quarter, as they were outscored 25-13 as the United States took a 56-34 lead into the halftime break.
