In the time since winning gold in best all-around at the Tokyo Olympics, United States gymnastics star Suni Lee has had plenty to overcome.
Despite being diagnosed with multiple kidney diseases in March of last year, Lee pushed through the adversity and is once again an Olympic medalist. She won bronze in best all-around on Thursday, with her teammate Simone Biles taking home gold.
"I just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it because I didn't think that I could," Lee said, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).
