Martha Karolyi’s testimony in a 2017 deposition contradicts what she and her husband Bela claimed they knew about Larry Nassar’s abuse in the lawsuit they filed last month against USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee, according to a report by the Orange County Register on Thursday.
In the lawsuit, the Karolyis asserted USA Gymnastics told them of possible misconduct in 2015 but didn’t convey the nature of the misconduct or that it included sexual assault.
