Michael Phelps was fully aware that his “Phelps face” before the 200 butterfly semi-finals would go viral. When did he know? Right in the middle of making said “Phelps face” as rival swimmer Chad Le Clos warmed up near him (although his glaring wasn’t directed at Le Clos).
