Peter Sagan won his ninth career Tour de France stage, taking a stage-two bunch sprint finish by a nose Sunday.
The world champion from Slovakia was edged for the win in Saturday’s opening stage by Colombian Fernando Gaviria.
Sagan was wrongly thrown out of last year’s Tour for a clash with Mark Cavendish in stage four.
