RIO DE JANEIRO – They are odd the Olympics, in that they make us think and discuss odd things that we would usually barely consider.
Take Ryan Lochte’s hair, for example. The American swimmer will battle Michael Phelps in the men’s 200-meter individual medley on Thursday night with as much discussion raging about the new color of his tousled top as of his chances of uprooting his iconic rival from the top of the podium.
Lochte adopted a new look for these Olympics, and that is where the chatter started. The 32-year-old medley specialist tried to show some blond ambition, others felt he was channeling his inner Richard Gere and some shards of silver were spotted.
