Mikaela Shiffrin nearly makes it three-way tie for World Cup win

Petra Vlhova and Federica Brignone shared a World Cup giant slalom win with the same time, while Mikaela Shiffrin was .01 shy of making it a three-way tie atop the podium in Sestriere, Italy, on Saturday.

Vlhova, the world GS champion from Slovakia, and Brignone, the Olympic bronze medalist from Italy, each recorded 2:21.15, combining times from two runs at the 2006 Olympic venue.

Shiffrin rallied from fourth place and .42 behind after the first run with the fastest second run to move from fourth to third.
