Lindsey Vonn's training for the 2018 Olympic Games is on hold indefinitely.
The gold medalist alpine ski racer crashed Thursday while training at Cooper Mountain, Colo., and suffered a severe fracture of the humerus bone in her right arm, she announced on Facebook on Friday.
"I had successful surgery last night in Vail and everyone took great care of me," the 32-year-old American wrote. "While I am beyond frustrated by this latest setback, at least my knees are OK and I will return to the slopes as soon as possible, as I always do! Thank you for the continued support, it means so much to me.
