Four-time overall World Cup skiing champion Lindsey Vonn is traveling to Austria on Tuesday, but says that she has yet to make a final decision if she will race in Saturday’s season opening giant slalom.
The veteran American ski racer, who celebrated her 31st birthday in Las Vegas attending the Red Bull Air Race this past weekend, will snap into her skis on Thursday for the first time since fracturing her left ankle in a New Zealand training crash on Aug. 13.
Vonn said she will likely make a final decision on Friday regarding her start at the traditional opening race on Soelden’s Rettenbach Glacier.
