Kenny, Trott cap track program with 2 more golds for Britain

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Jason Kenny celebrated his third gold medal of the Rio Olympics with a kiss from his fiancee. Or maybe Laura Trott was simply celebrating her second gold.

Kenny rode to victory in the keirin Tuesday night to cap his remarkable Summer Games only an hour after Trott scored victory in the omnium. The medals by British Cycling's power couple gave their team six golds and 11 overall during the track program at the Olympic velodrome.

Kenny now has six Olympic gold medals, matching retired British cyclist Chris Hoy's record.

Kristina Vogel of Germany spoiled Britain's shot at a sweep Tuesday, beating Katy Marchant in the individual sprint semifinals and topping Becky James in the finals.
