Jamie Anderson, Olympic slopestyle champ, breaks collarbone

Jamie Anderson, the first Olympic snowboard slopestyle champion, will miss this week’s Dew Tour Mountain Championships in Breckenridge, Colo., due to a broken collarbone sustained in practice, according to the Tahoe (Calif.) Daily Tribune.

Anderson, 25, underwent surgery and expects to return to competition in January and take part in the Winter X Games in the last weekend of that month, according to the report.

She has earned snowboard slopestyle medals at nine of the last 10 X Games, with silvers at the last two.
