How is halfpipe snowboarding scored by judges at Winter Olympics?

In case you're wondering what the halfpipe scores for Shaun White, Scotty James and Ayumu Hirano mean, here's a quick explanation.

Think of it more as a ranking. The actual numbers the judges assign each rider's run don't really matter. The scores are a means of ordering the runs from best to worst.

So if the first run sets the base high, the better runs will score high. If the judges deem a run worthy of a 100, it will be the last rider. That's it.
