With the USA’s 105-78 win over Argentina, one of the great Olympic basketball careers came to end. Ginobili had been a part of the Argentina national team since the 2004 Olympics. He won gold in 2004 and bronze in 2008.
Argentina’s loss in the quarterfinal means that Ginobili will leave Rio without a medal, making for a disappointing conclusion to his Argentina career.
He joined NBC Sports after the game to discuss what playing for Argentina meant to him.
