Fierce Fivers return to international stage, on U.S. team for worlds

Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman will be heading to their first major international competition since leading the Fierce Five to gold in the London Olympics.

Douglas, the defending Olympic all-around champion, and Raisman, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, were named to the U.S. team for the World Championships in Glasgow later this month. Although it comes as no surprise considering their results, it’s a significant step in their comebacks as they try to make the American team for the Rio games.

Simone Biles became the most dominant gymnast in the world in their absence and seeks to win her third consecutive world title.
