Canadians repeat as World champions in pairs

Canadians Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford repeated as World champions in pairs, coming from behind by nailing their free skate in Boston on Saturday.

Duhamel and Radford scored 153.81 points to total 231.99 overall, both easily personal bests and won by a comfortable 7.52 points.

They overtook China’s Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, who had a 2.67-point lead after the short program Friday. The Chinese had a flawed free skate, including a fall on a throw quadruple Salchow, and claimed their second straight Worlds silver medal.

Germany’s Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot earned bronze in their Worlds debut.
