Canada names Opening Ceremony flag bearer

Canada named Rosie MacLennan, a London 2012 trampoline gold medalist, its Opening Ceremony flag bearer on Thursday.

MacLennan, 27, is going to her third Olympics after becoming the first North American to take trampoline gold since the sport was added to the Olympic gymnastics program in 2000.

Artistic gymnasts usually sit out the Opening Ceremony as their competition starts the first weekend of the Games. But the trampoline competition isn’t until the middle weekend.
