Come February, the Green Monster will be eclipsed by a monster snow jump.
It’s one that will launch some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders toward home plate at Fenway Park, giving American fans a chance to get more familiar with big air before it enters the Olympics in 2018.
The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) and Fenway Sports Management planned to announce the event in a press conference later Tuesday.
“It definitely does have this tradition, history and culture surrounding it,” said snowboarder Ty Walker, who will be in Boston for the announcement.
