Athletes support crowdfunding campaign to raise money for Russian whistleblowers

The project launched this week and has raised more than $21,000, or roughly 25 percent of its goal.

The Stepanovs left Russia in late 2014 after providing evidence of doping in track and field to German broadcaster ARD, and they now live in an undisclosed location in the United States.
