Re “An Ardent Courtship for the Olympic Rings” (news article, May 14) and “Los Angeles Could Wait for 2028 Games” (Sports pages, June 2):
If most cities in the world cannot afford to stage the Olympic Games, then it is time to consider giving the Games a permanent home in Greece.
Greece is the historical and spiritual locus of the Olympics. A permanent location would obviously cut the costs of the current system, and the world knows that Greece will need the added revenue for a long time to come.
