NORFOLK, Va. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released its Preseason Coaches Poll on Tuesday afternoon, and the Old Dominion wrestling team came in ranked as the 25th-best team in the country.
ODU finished last season with a 9-7 record, 5-2 in Mid-American Conference (MAC) duals, and return three NCAA Qualifiers from a year ago, All-American Larry Early, MAC Champion Michael McGee and Sa’Derian Perry.
Those three were ranked in their respective weight classes individually in four other preseason polls, WIN Magazine, InterMat, Trackwrestling and FloWrestling.
Early was ranked fourth in all four preseason polls in the 157-pound weight class.
