WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Old Dominion (8-7, 5-2 MAC) wrestling team fell to American (7-4, 5-1 EIWA) on Friday night, 24-14. Five individuals in Tim Young, No. 14 Michael McGee, No. 14 Sa'Derian Perry, No. 6 Larry Early and Shane Jones won bouts on the road.
After returning to the mat since the first week of January, Antonio Agee was pinned in the second period. At 197, Tim Young answered for the Monarchs with an 11-2 major decision to pick up four team points for ODU. Also returning to the mat, Will Hilliard got stuck on his back and pinned in the third period.
