North Texas made a pair of first-half goals stand up, defeating Old Dominion 2-1 in Conference USA women's soccer Sunday at Mean Green Soccer Stadium.
Jackie Stroud scored off Kathryn Hill's assist with 16 minutes to play for the Lady Monarchs (5-11, 3-5), who outshot North Texas 14-11 and dominated play for much of the first half.
Hailey Sutton and Marchelle Davis scored for the C-USA defending regular-season champion Mean Green (12-4-1, 7-1).
ODU plays at Western Kentucky at 7 p.m. Friday.
