VERONA, Wisc. -- Through the opening 18 holes at the NCAA Madison Regional, the Old Dominion women's golf team is tied for tenth at the University Ridge Golf Course in Verona, Wisconsin.
"We were pretty good start to finish," said head coach Mallory Hetzel. "I was happy with the amount of birdies that we made."
The Monarchs (+7) carded a 295 as a team on Monday and sit five strokes behind sixth-place Wisconsin (+2). The top six teams advance to the NCAA Championship.
ODU is the top non-Power 5 school at the regional through the opening round.
