Old Dominion's Mallory Hetzel was named Conference USA Women's Golf Coach of the Year in her first season with the Lady Monarchs, while Katerina Vlasinova and Maggie Simmermacher were named first- and second-team all-conference, respectively.
Hetzel led ODU to its first women's golf conference title last week in Fort Myers, Fla., which qualified the Lady Monarchs for the NCAA tournament for the first time.
Vlasinova, a junior from Trebic, Czech Republic, was named first team All-C-USA after garnering third-team honors the previous two years. She had top-five finishes at the Brickyard Collegiate and the C-USA Championships. Her stroke average of 74.
