Jennie Simms and Destinee Young aren’t shy about what they want to accomplish in their final season at Old Dominion.
The senior captains have their eyes on ODU’s first NCAA tournament appearance since 2008.
“Our goal is to dance, and the only way to dance is to win the (conference) championship,” Simms said.
“A ring – that’s the goal,” Young added.
But before they can be fitted for dancing shoes, the Lady Monarchs (17-17 overall, 10-8 in Conference USA last season), must make it through the league tournament.
Since joining the conference in 2013, ODU has slowly climbed the rounds of postseason play.
