Old Dominion blew a 9-0 lead, but recovered to defeat Florida International 12-11 on Friday night, ending a six-game Conference USA baseball losing streak.
Kellam grad Turner Bishop hit a three-run home run and a run-scoring single to help stake the Monarchs to their nine-run lead after four innings. But the Panthers answered with seven runs in the fourth and four in the fifth.
ODU (21-10, 4-6) tied it in the seventh on an RBI double by Kurt Sinnen (Kellam) and reclaimed the lead on an RBI single by Nick Walker (Kellam) in the eighth.
Sinnen and Connor Myers each had four and Bishop had two of the Monarchs' season-high 18 hits.
