ATLANTA - Senior Jacklyn VandePoel placed fifth in the 500 freestyle to lead Old Dominion University swimming and diving on Wedneday night on the second day of the Conference USA Championships.
The seventh seed heading into the 500 freestyle, VandePoel took fifth with a time of 4:53.44, while sophomore Jacqueline Tinneny won the B-Final to finish ninth overall, with a time of 4:54.32. Freshman Miranda Byrne placed second in the B-Final for a 10th place finsih in 4:58.44.
Freshman Tara Enneking added more points for the Monarchs with an eighth place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.
