NORFOLK, Va. -- Julia Van Dorsten's goal with 11 seconds remaining propelled No. 25 Old Dominion to a thrilling, come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Michigan State on Friday evening at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex.
With the score tied 2-2 and under a minute play, Van Dorsten fired a shot off of a penalty corner that was saved by the Michigan State (3-3) goalkeeper. However, the rebound caromed back to Van Dorsten, who elevated her second shot over the MSU keeper.
"I think it was a good example of the whole game," said head coach Andrew Griffiths about Van Dorsten's goal.
