Texas-San Antonio's Bryan Sturges belted a 10th-inning RBI double to defeat Old Dominion in the opener of the Conference USA series Friday at Roadrunner Field.
Will Morgan put the Monarchs ahead in fourth with a solo home run, his second consecutive game with a homer. UTSA then answered in the bottom half with an RBI single.
In the eighth, Matt Burch delivered a two-run double to push the Monarchs back ahead, but Nick Thornquist's two-run homer tied things in the bottom half.
The score held until the 10th.
Bryce Windham and Jared Hancock had two hits each for the Monarchs (3-10).
