Chris Mecate (141 pounds) and Jack Dechow (184) each won twice Saturday – the first day of the Mid-American Conference meet – at Eastern Michigan to reach the finals and earn automatic bids to the NCAA championships.
Brandon Jeske (Cox High) and Alexander Richardson remain in contention for automatic berths in the consolation bracket.
The consolation semifinals will begin noon today with the finals at 1:20 p.m.
