Old Dominion's Sana Tufail was the only player to break 70 at the NCAA women's golf Columbus Regional, but the Monarchs won't be moving on to the NCAA Championships.
Tufail, a sophomore, shot a 3-under 69 on the par-72 Scarlet Course at Ohio State University and was ODU's top finisher at 26th. She had six birdies on the day and finished the tournament at 11-over 227.
The Monarchs, however, finished tied for 11th in the 18-team regional. The top six teams in each regional advance to the NCAA Championships on May 19-24 in Sugar Grove, Ill.
Among ODU other's players, Charlotte De Corte (14 over) finished 37th, Katerina Vlasinova (19 over) was 59th, Maggie Simmermacher (20 over) was 61st and Rachel Walker (35 over) was 91st.
