FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The ODU women's golf team climbed into second place on day two of the Conference USA Championships at the Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Florida on Tuesday. Individually, Lady Monarch freshman Sana Tufail rose from eighth to sole possession of first place after firing a three-under 69 in round two.
Old Dominion fired a 293 in round two, a seven-stroke improvement from round one, to move into second place. The Lady Monarchs sit just one stroke behind the returning C-USA champions of Middle Tennessee heading into round three.
ODU freshman standout Sana Tufail turned in an impressive second round of action by firing a three-under 69 to move into first place of all 55 golfers heading into the final round.
