NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s tennis team (5-1) swept Morgan State (0-5) by a 7-0 score on Thursday at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
In doubles, all three ODU tandems handled business giving Old Dominion an early 1-0 lead. Starodubtseva/Andrieieva (6-3), Malenko/Vlasova (6-3) and McLelland/Yakubovich (6-0) picked up doubles wins over the Bears.
The Monarchs won all six singles matches in straight sets. Nataliia Vlasova (6-1, 6-0), Oleksandra Andrieieva (6-1, 6-1), Yulia Starodubtseva (6-1, 6-0), Brooke Pilkington (6-0, 6-1), Alesya Yakubovic (6-0, 6-1) and Louie McLelland (6-0, 6-3) all picked up wins in singles.
