PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Old Dominion men’s tennis team defeated Penn (0-1) by a 4-3 score at the Hecht Tennis Center on Sunday. The Tennis Monarchs improved to 3-1 on the season, with their only loss coming on the road at No. 23 nationally ranked Columbia via a 4-3 score.
“Road wins are tough to get,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “Penn has a very dangerous team and they brought it all today. Our doubles point was strong again today and I’m very happy for our new guys Jannik and Francois to win hard fought three set matches on their first road trip.
