WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s tennis team went a perfect 3-0 to kick off its fall season at the Tribe Invite at the Millie West Tennis Facility. ODU defeated Dartmouth 7-0, Iowa 4-3 and host William & Mary 4-3.
ODU freshmen Yulia Starodubsteva and Louie McLelland, as well as junior Nataliia Vlasova claimed victory in all three of their singles matches. No. 58 nationally ranked Holly Hutchinson went 2-1 and defeated No. 92 ranked Zoe Douglas of Iowa in straight sets (6-0, 6-2).
In doubles play, Hutchinson/Starodubsteva, Victoria Olivarez/Vlasova and McLelland/Adriana Rajkovic all went 2-1 for the weekend.
