(WAVY, Video Courtesy of KARE-TV) — It’s been quite the off season for former Old Dominion quarterback Taylor Heinicke. The second-year pro showed up at Minnesota Vikings training camp with a cast on his foot.
Heinicke required surgery to repair a severed tendon after trying to kick in a glass door when he and a friend were locked out of an apartment.
Fast forward to late October, and Heinicke has finally been cleared to practice with the Vikings. Minnesota offensive coordinator Norv Turner has said nothing but good things about the Monarchs record-setting signal caller.
