Caleb Ward hit an RBI single with one out in the bottom of the 10th to end Senior Day with a victory for the Spartans (19-21, 14-7 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference North).
John Weglarz hit an RBI single for DSU (14-23, 9-12) to put the Hornets ahead 2-1 in the top of the 10th. But Ty Hanchey’s single and a throwing error on pitcher Austin Warrington put NSU runners on second and third. After an intentional walk and a force at the plate, Alsander Womack singled home the tying run before Ward lined the first pitch he saw into left-center for the triumph.
