MACON, Ga. -- Ashmore Standing has been named the Atlantic Sun's Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year, the league announced on Wednesday. Overall, a total of seven Lady Monarchs garnered all-conference honors.
Standing becomes just the third player in ODU history to be named conference player of the year, joining Kelly Kimener (CAA, 2009) and Barb DiArcangelo (CAA, 1993). The Virginia Beach native leads the conference in goals (59) for the second consecutive season and is just nine goals away from breaking the ODU single-season record of 67 set by Cathy Large in 1987.
