LeeMarcus Boyd, Mason Irby and Daniel Keating each drove in two runs as No. 11 Southern Miss defeated Old Dominion 9-2 on Sunday to sweep a three-game Conference USA baseball series at the Bud Metheny Complex.
It was the first time the Monarchs (12-29, 5-16) got swept in a home series since 2016.
Southern Miss (32-11, 16-4) scored in each of the first three innings to lead 4-1 and never looked back. The Golden Eagles, the top offensive team in C-USA, collected 15 hits for the second straight game.
Bryce Windham paced ODU by going 3 for 4 with an RBI and Craig Lopez added an RBI single.
