Reigning Conference USA Freshman of the Year Niko Klosterhalfen scored two goals Friday night in Old Dominion’s 3-1 season-opening win over Nevada-Las Vegas in men's soccer at the ODU Soccer Complex.
After Klosterhalfen’s tally in the 13th minute gave the Monarchs a 1-0 lead, the Rebels tied just over 10 minutes later.
Tyler Edwards scored just before halftime as ODU reclaimed its advantage and in the 56th minute, Klosterhalfen’s goal helped put the game away.
Sebastian Hauret assisted on all three goals for ODU, which hosts Stetson at 7 p.m. Sunday.
