IRVING, Texas -- For the second consecutive week, Jennie Simms has been named the Conference USA Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.
Simms averaged 29.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals in ODU's two games against Dartmouth and No. 18/16 Miami (FL) last week.
The senior guard opened the week with a season-high 35 points to go along with 10 rebounds and five assists in the Sixth Annual Education Day victory over Dartmouth, 82-56, on Wednesday. The Accokeek, Maryland, native then followed with a game-high 24 points, five rebounds and three assists in the Lady Monarchs' 66-56 loss at Top 25-ranked Miami on Sunday.
