WALLACE, N.C. -- Maggie Simmermacher placed 10th out of 75 golfers as the ODU women's golf team recorded a fourth-place finish out of 13 participating schools at the River Landing Classic on Sunday.
Entering Sunday's final round in third place, No. 30 East Carolina cinched the team title, ousting runner-up Penn State by four strokes. Harvard finished in third place while the Lady Monarchs grabbed fourth and Penn took fifth.
Individually, Maggie Simmermacher nabbed her fourth top-10 finish of the season, tying for 10th place after firing a one-over 73 in the third round.
