NEWPORT, R.I. - Old Dominion University co-ed sailing qualified for the Gill Co-ed Finals with an eighth place finish in the semifinals. The slate gets wiped clean as the finals start tomorrow at 10 a.m.
The Division A team of Jack Elkin, Abigail Tutt and Gavin Burkhart took eighth in the division. With light winds today, only five races were completed. Of the five races, the team had a pair of top-five finishes.
The Division B squad of Dreugh Phillips, Emily Harrison and John Glenn also finished in eighth place. They had three top-five finishes, including a second place in the first race of the day.
