NORFOLK (WAVY) — Old Dominion coach Bobby Wilder said all week that he wanted to emphasize situational football during the Monarchs annual Spring Game scrimmage. He got what he wanted.
In front of 4,500 fans, the Blue Team held on for a 21-20 win over the White Team.
Monarch fans got their first glimpse of true freshman quarterback Drayton Arnold from Myrtle Beach. He graduated High School in December and enrolled at ODU in January. Arnold tossed two touchdown passes, including a 94-yard score to Isaiah Harper.
