Old Dominion juniors Rebecca Birch and Erin Huffman were named Wednesday to the All-Big East first team in field hockey.
Birch led the Monarchs in goals and scoring. She finished with 23 points (10 goals, three assists) in earning all-conference honors for the first time.
Huffman is all-Big East for the second consecutive season. She was second on ODU with 22 points (nine goals, four assists) and scored a league-best five game-winning goals.
The Monarchs (10-7) were 9-1 away from home and had three wins over ranked teams.
